Course content
The course Baltic Linguistics - Latvian or Lithuanian consists of an introduction to the history of the Latvian and Lithuanian language, linguistic method, grammar and phonetics. In addition, an overview of the development of the Baltic languages and their internal relationships is presented.
The course consists of an obligatory, general part and an elective part, where the student chooses a specific topic within Baltic linguistics in cooperation with the examiner.
The course is also a part of Latvian I (30 HEC) or Lithuanian I (30 HEC). It is also given as an independent 7,5 HEC course.
